Back-to-Back Avatar 2 and 3?

Did you enjoy last year's massive hit Avatar?.

Well, in an interview with MTV, James Cameron said that, when asked about Avatar 2,  "we're still working on deals and so we don't start the movie until we get the deals worked out." In the meantime, notes are being made for the sequels and a tie-in novel is in the works to browse over Na'vi culture and the world of Pandora.

However, the oscar-winning director also said that one plan for the sequels (which are still at the "if" stage) is to film them back-to-back, claiming that it will make a lot of sense given the film's nature, as they would be able to "bank all the capture and then go back and do cameras over a period of time."

If you don't know what that means, an example is that Cameron was able to film additional deleted scenes for the upcoming Special Edition Blu-Ray/DVD as performance-action footage of the cast had been "banked".

So, are you looking forward to Avatar 2? If it gets made, that is...
